EFL transfer window live: Bristol City, Rovers and rivals look to add to squads

Hello and welcome to today's (July 24) live blog as Bristol City, Bristol Rovers and clubs across the EFL continue to add to their ranks during the summer transfer window.

It's a new week and both City and Rovers will be in friendly action as the start of the new season draws closer. The Robins beat Newport County on Tuesday afternoon and face Cheltenham Town and Plymouth Argyle on Friday and Saturday respectively. Elsewhere, the Gas were beaten 2-0 by Coventry City on Wednesday night and conclude their preparations at Oxford United on Saturday.

The Pirates have signed seven players so far this summer with the addition of former Coventry midfielder Ryan Howley. They have also signed Josh McEachran, Brad Young, Macauley Southam-Hales, Alfie Kilgour, Jack Sparkes and Luke Southwood. Meanwhile, City have so far brought in Emil Riis, Adam Randall and Joe Lumley.

There have been plenty of done deals across the entire EFL as City's Championship and Rovers' League Two rivals continue to be busy in the market. We will bring you live updates here throughout the day regarding transfer activity throughout the EFL.
