Starbucks has imposed a strict 'one item per person' limit on shoppers - as a cup goes viral. The viral Berista Cup from the hot drinks giant, which has outlets in Birmingham, is already being sold online for around five times the price.
Shoppers have been left outraged after greedy customers stocked up on the item and started flogging it on the online auction site to make a profit.
It comes as the global coffee chain giant teased fans over on Instagram, posting a picture showing the top of the popular bear cup (hat and straw). The caption said: “this is not a drill... see you 15.01,” along with a teddy bear emoji.

One angry customer said: “Tried three different stores from 6am, all sold out. So disappointing to genuine collectors seeing them already on Vinted for £100.”
And another added: “It’s stupid the amount that are on Vinted and for stupid amount of money I would not be lining peoples pockets for greed.”
While a third moaned: “Jeez. What’s wrong with people. It’s a cup. Get over it.” But other fans can't contain their excitement, flooding the brand's Instagram with hundreds of comments.
One excited shopper wrote: "I can’t believe we’re getting them too!!". A second added: "I've just seen them and they are beautiful".
While a third commented: "I’ve set my reminder…i’ll be there". The cup initially launched at the end of last year in the US as part of the Holiday Collection, and it appears Starbucks are looking to replicate the viral buzz over in the UK.
Many shoppers are sceptical about how much stock they will actually have, and the (supposed) £27.99 price tag.
An Instagram user said: "As much as I’d like one, I just cba if it’s going to cause a riot."
Another wrote: "They are £27.99 for a glass teddy cup come on that’s half a days wages".
