Birmingham’s biggest shopping centre has just launched a series of new shops ready for the summer.

Some are local independents being given a chance to showcase their products for a short period as a LinkStreet pop-up.

Others have just opened in the heart of Bullring, and some are about to open in the next few months.

There’s designer wear, homeware, ice-cream shops and cult fashion.

Lo and Be Cold

A new rolled ice cream shop has opened LinkStreet, serving artisan delicacies that are hand-rolled to look like pretty pancakes.

Flavours include Strawberry Split (fresh strawberries, white chocolate chips and sauce), Batoffee Popcorn (bananas, toffee popcorn, mini fudge and salted caramel sauce) and Oreo Cookie Crumble (with Hershey’s syrup).

The ice cream is mixed before sauces and toppings are added then it is rolled into swirls and put in a cup with extra toppings.

Rebus Glacies

There’s not one but two new ice-cream shops on LinkStreet!

This pop-up shop is selling soft serve ice cream in unusual colours, flavours, toppings and shapes.

Here you can get ice cream doughnut rings and candy floss clouds in white or pink.

Flavours include blue vanilla, charcoal, hazelnut, match tea and coconut.

The more unusual ‘fairytale’ range are finished off with fun toppings including gold glitter, toffee popcorn and popping candy.

Koti & Co

This pop-up homeware store sells furniture, cookware, pictures and stationery.

Product designers Nic and Kat, originally from Birmingham, seek out small independent designer-makers to showcase so they can offer unusual lifestyle items you won’t find elsewhere.

Founded in February 2017 as an online business, they are having a Koti & Co pop-up on LinkStreet from Monday, July 24 to Sunday July 30.

Ben Sherman

Ben Sherman opened its first standalone store in Birmingham in the spring.

Look out for classic gingham shirts, Harrington jackets and polo shirts at the LinkStreet shop.

Russell & Bromley

Normally you’d have to travel at least 40 miles to reach a Russell & Bromley store – but that’s about to change.

A branch is opening at Bullring next month (August), meaning you’ll be able to buy their signature loafers, boots, pumps and brogues created with distinctive craftsmanship without having to travel to places like Cheltenham and Oxford.

It will join current shoe shops at Bullring, which include Jones Bootmaker, Dune, Clarks, Schuh, Kurt Geiger and Office. There’s also an Irregular Choice shoe shop on Link Street.
