Lidl has been announced as a 'Top Employer' in a huge annual prestigious prize. Lidl, which has branches in Birmingham, has also announced on Thursday (January 16) that it has received the coveted Enterprise Seal.
This proves "the consistently high standards and quality processes for exemplary HR management at an international level across 31 countries," Lidl - which is rivalled by Aldi, Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Tesco, Asda and more - said.
Stephanie Rogers, Chief People Officer at Lidl GB said: “The Top Employer 2026 award is confirmation of our high quality standards as an employer.

"This recognition makes us proud and we view it as a promise: Every day, we give our all to create an environment in which our employees can grow, develop their skills and reach new heights together with us in #teamlidl.
"Our employees are the foundation of our success, and their passion and performance are the reason why our customers enjoy shopping at Lidl every day”.
“Top Employers” uses detailed criteria to test companies in a range of HR dimensions. This year, Lidl once again produced outstanding results in the Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, Learning, Employer Branding, and Integrity areas.
"Lidl also delivered significant improvement thanks to consistent development in the Onboarding area.
"From day one, the company provides new employees with a stable foundation that enables them to reach their performance level and enjoy long-term success.
"This clearly underlines the discounter’s position: A successful career path does not develop by chance, but is the result of professional structures and clear processes.
Adrian Seligman, CEO of Top Employers Institute, comments: “The Top Employer 2026 certification clearly demonstrates the extent to which Lidl GB is determined to create a first-class working environment that secures sustainable performance for the company.
"Combined with the consistent focus on continuous improvement, the tight integration of HR strategy and corporate objectives show just how effective their transformative practices are.
"We are proud to present this award to Lidl for making such an important contribution to improving the working world in GB.”
