The world's biggest Primark in Birmingham will be closing it's cafe this year, here's what you need to know:

  1. Primark has made the decision to close some of its in-store cafes, including in the Birmingham High Street store. The brand has made the decision based on the size and location of each store and 'local customer preference.
  2. The Birmingham Primark cafe will close within the next 12 months. No date has yet been confirmed.
  3. The Birmingham café has seen many changes over the years, with several themes. The current cafe is based on Disney's Stitch character.
  4. Three other Primark cafes are also earmarked for closure. They are in Glasgow Braehead shopping centre, Edinburgh Princes Street and Belfast Royal Avenue.
  5. Primark has said that no staff members are currently impacted by the upcoming closures. But the business said partners may be affected and it would support them throughout.
  6. A spokesperson for the Primark said they had 'expanded our own product offering'. They added that meant 'adapting our spaces so that each store is best set up to cater to local customer preferences.'
