Wetherspoons has confirmed it will be opening a new international pub in a popular holiday hotspot.
The pub chain, which has over 800 locations in Britain, is officially expanding overseas, with a brand-new site to open in Spain.
Alicante -Elche Miguel Hernandez Airport will welcome the British boozer next month, expected to be entitled Castell de Santa Barbera.
The pub will be positioned in the departures lounge in the Spanish airport, to enable Brits to submerge themselves in that bit of home before they actually jet back to the UK.

It will be open seven days a week from 6am until 9pm, serving all the traditional booze, as well as usual pub grub such as a Full English, burgers, and pizzas.
Wetherspoons founder and chairman, Sir Tim Martin, has said this move highlights the beginning of the chain's international expansion, and is part of plans to open 30 new pubs in the current financial year.
Sir Tim said: “We are very much looking forward to opening our first overseas pub. We believe it will be popular with people travelling home from Alicante airport.
"We aim to open a number of pubs overseas in the coming months and years, including those at airports.”

While Sir Tim looks to conquer the overseas scene, the boss is also simultaneously keeping a close eye on his British expansion plans, with a new Beaconsfield branch to open today (January 13).
Titled, The Chiltern, the pub is earmarked to open its doors to the public of Buckinghamshire today.
Wetherspoons has hundreds of locations all over the UK, with the pub chain popular with the thousands who dine there each year.
There are numerous in Birmingham, with two on Broad Street alone.
