Birmingham's German Christmas Market is back for 2025 but there are lots of additional markets throughout the region to help you get into the festive spirit.
Many of the Midland markets are Victorian-themed, inviting people to 'step back in time' to soak up a traditional festive atmosphere with the scents of mulled wine, roasted chestnuts and the sounds of street entertainers under the twinkle of fairy lights.
These are great places to pick up unusual gifts, quirky stocking fillers and seasonal treats whilst supporting local, small businesses.

The good news is that most of these markets can be easily reached by train or bus within an hour from Birmingham, which is ideal for a festive family day out.

This is said to be the Midland's leading Victorian-themed street market.
Yes, Worcester's Victorian Christmas Fayre is back for 2025, bringing more than 200 stalls selling local arts and crafts, festive gifts and street food.
What's special is that the stallholders dress in period clothes to add to the atmosphere and there's a traditional fairground, street magicians, stilt walkers and musicians too.
This year's market runs from Thursday December 4 to Sunday December 7.
And it's free to enter, making it a great place to pick up unusual decorations, jewellery and presents you're unlikely to find elsewhere whilst you tuck into roasted chestnuts and hot chocolate.

Sutton Coldfield Victorian Christmas Market
There's a Victorian market closer to home too and it runs over two weekends in the run-up to Christmas.
Taking place in The Parade, organisers of the Sutton Coldfield Victorian Christmas Market are promising a 'truly magical festive atmosphere' with twinkling lights, mulled wine, roasted chestnuts and Christmas music.
Here you'll find unusual gifts, artisanal crafts, and delicious seasonal treats.
Runs from Thursday December 11 to Sunday December 14 and from Thursday December 18 to Sunday December 21.

Stratford-upon-Avon Victorian Christmas Market
Head here for handmade crafts, seasonal treats, unusual gifts and warming mulled drinks under twinkling lights with Stratford’s historic charm as your backdrop.
The Stratford-upon-Avon Victorian Christmas Market takes place over two consecutive weekends on November 29 and 30 and December 6 and 7.
With around 200 stalls, it's on a similar scale to Worcester's Victorian market.
The fun happens on Bridge Street, Henley Street and Waterside, and there will be choirs, Morris dancers, stilt walkers, school performances and a DJ. Find out more via the Stratford Upon Avon District Council's website.
Lichfield Victorian Christmas Market
People are being invited to 'step back in time' for the Victorian Christmas Market in Lichfield.
Taking place in Market Street from Thursday December 4 to Sunday December 7, the event will feature family entertainment, live music and street performances together with 'sweet treats and festive eats'.
The stalls will be loaded with artisan gifts, handmade decorations and unique stocking fillers. Find out more here
Stafford Christmas Market
A Christmas-themed Artisan Market will be taking over the farmers' market in Stafford this year.
The event, which takes place on December 13, will be offering a variety of high quality, handmade food and crafts as well as street food.

Wolverhampton Christmas Market
This is a week-long celebration of all things festive full of artisan stalls selling decorations, gifts and seasonal treats.
It takes place in Dudley Street from Friday December 12 to Thursday December 18 between 10am and 5pm.

Stourbridge Christmas Market
There will be a Christmas market to tie in with the Stourbridge Christmas Lights switch on this year.
Head here to pick up some unusual stocking fillers, traditional toys and seasonal treats together with lots of festive street food.
