Sunderland v Newcastle is one of the biggest, most intense derbies in European football. Days like today, when the North East's biggest rivalry comes to a head, mean several things:
An increase in ale sales in the area.
Lots of overtime for the local police.
But most of all, it means that we all remember the ridiculous scenes from the derby in April 2013 - when one genius in a Newcastle shirt thought it would be a good idea to PUNCH A POLICE HORSE:
